Who we are looking for: 

For our Aruba based operation IBS is looking for a Field Service Technician. This person is responsible for driving IBS’s mission, vision and values in order to consistently deliver excellence in service. The ideal candidate possesses technical knowledge, gets things done, is an exceedingly good communicator and relationship keeper, works tightly organized, is able to work cross-functionally, can work independently, is service driven, and can’t help but solve technical problems and eager to keep learning and self-develop. Most of all ready to work in a dynamic hi-paced fast growing technology environment. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Accurately diagnose, repair and maintain equipment in optimum operating condition at customer sites 
  • Manage and maintain a highly accurate parts inventory via handheld device 
  • Receive, prioritize and accurately close service calls via handheld device 
  • Assist with equipment installations as needed 
  • Provide scheduled maintenance service 
  • Train end users on proper equipment usage 
  • Keep current with new technology through off-site manufacturer’s classes and online training 
  • Communicate equipment problems and solutions to fellow technicians 
  • Manage IBS HaaS (hardware as service) platform
  • Ensure compliance with IBS policies, procedures and standards 
  • Manage internal IT infrastructure.
  • Project a positive company image through proper attire, exceptional communication skills, excellent customer service and personal grooming 
  • Working closely with the sales team and customers to understand and capture requirements.
  • Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all company standards and operating procedures are met, including workplace safety, inventory control, and loss prevention. 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; or industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • IT skills / Computer knowledge and knowledge of networking is required 
  • Electronic & mechanical experience/aptitude 
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to lift 25kg or more 
  • Professional appearance and manner skills 
  • Customer service oriented 
  • English and Papiamento fluently spoken and written
  • Able to work independently, under pressure at customer sites and to accept direction on given assignments 
  • Able to handle and solve new challenges, demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn 
  • Team player, reliable, punctual and possessing a positive attitude
